Project Finance Change Lead - Real Estate. OUR CLIENT is a developer and investor who are wholly owned and backed by an international investor and they have been operating in their chosen sector for decades They are now looking for a Project Finance Change Lead to take on a wide-ranging role and be responsible for overhauling the finance system, launching a suite of new applications to enable a lean, paperless and digitised finance environment.

THE ROLE will see the individual reporting directly into the Group Finance head and will working closely with the CFO. The specific responsibilities are as follow:
  • Leading the Finance team for requirements gathering, systems definition, solution design and implementation of new ERP system.
  • Introducing standardisation, systemisation and simplification of finance processes through the new system.
  • Engaging with Senior Leaders, Procurement and IT to ensure the right solutions are deployed.
  • Working with the Business Analyst to assess existing state process flows and define the target finance systems state.
  • Designing and implementing all complex aspects of the new finance system, including chart of accounts, P2P, banking and payments, VAT, consolidation and reporting.
  • Identifying and introducing workflows and controls into the new system.
  • Identifying and embedding efficiencies to incorporate into the system solution including increased automation and integration with other systems.
  • Leading the successful the data migration from the current system to the new system.
  • Defining system customisations with the vendors.
  • Overseeing user acceptance testing and documentation of the new system.
  • Leading training to finance and operational teams.
  • Creating the finance team Manual/SOP.
  • Working with the vendor to fix post-go-live issues.
  • Implementing short-term quick wins and tactical systems enhancements to improve financial controls and remove inefficiencies.
  • Tracking project spend, maintaining and updating budget as required.
  • Working with the Technology Director to build out the business and systems architecture.
  • Managing one project management accountant.
  • Ad-hoc finance systems project work.

THE PERSON: To apply, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong academic record and have a minimum of 5 years' practical experience at implementing finance and non-finance systems (ideally Yardi/ MRI QUBE or similar). You will ideally have real estate sector experience although hotel/hospitality exposure. You are expected to have extensive experience with implementing new core business platforms and running multi-entity applications along with strong project management exposure. You should possess strong systems skills and be a competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio and PowerPoint) tools. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an attention to detail are extremely important as the ability to communicate and present information clearly to colleagues internally and externally. The role will suit someone who has dynamic and positive personality with 'hands on' approach to lead the team and get the job done; who is able to motivate the team and build effective partnerships with finance and non-finance colleagues, operating with presence and confidence.
