Reed Education Reading are currently working in support of a "good" primary school in the Reading area. We are looking for Year 1 Teacher to join the school for a one year fixed-term-contract covering maternity.

This position is to start on 6th June 2022.

We are interested in hearing from teachers looking for long term temporary assignments or fixed term contracts.

As a part of a large multi-academy trust, this school provides excellent career progression and extensive varied CPD for their staff. Although part of a larger trust, the school itself remains focused on the local community and nurtures this ethos.

Salary is to scale (MPS1 - MPS6/UPS1 - UPS3) for a fixed-term-contract and similarly, a temporary assignment will be paid to scale via daily rate from day one of the booking. The role is suitable for an early career teacher (ECT).

Here are some comments on the school from Ofsted:

"Since the previous inspection, school leaders and governors have brought about considerable improvements to the school. In close cooperation with the academy trust, the leadership team has been strengthened and provides a clear direction to the work of the school."

"Teachers plan imaginative activities for pupils that inspire pupils to work hard. Consequently, pupils achieve well across the school in reading, writing and mathematics."

"Pupils behave well in class and around the school. They get on well together and they appreciate the help and support provided by staff."

"Ambitious leaders have introduced a planned programme of training. This has improved the quality of teaching so that it is consistently good across the school."

Interviews are being held as soon as possible for suitable applicants, so please apply now so not to miss out on the opportunity.
