Training & Development Manager - Edinburgh - New Role!

£45k - £60k + Excellent Benefits + Some home working

A leading organisation in the Edinburgh area - offering hybrid working - requires a Training and Development Manager to lead and develop its growing Training and QA function.

Suitable candidates will have experience of leading/managing a team of Technical Trainers and Quality Assurance Coaches to help them reach their own potential and thus, provide the best possible experience for staff.

You will also work closely with the leadership team to develop training methods and promote an environment of continuous learning, continuous improvement, and Agile culture.

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing a quality and performance strategy to deliver excellence and loyalty across the department
  • Managing relationships with external training vendors
  • Monitoring and evaluating training program's effectiveness and success
  • Managing the department's training budget
  • Maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
  • Managing QA assessment and coaching and link this to people's development plans
  • Manage and develop the Performance & Incentive scheme

About you:

You will have a true passion for coaching & development, people, and training. Relationship building, and management is key to success. You will also have a track record of building and sustaining positive and collaborative relationships with a variety of teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors at all levels. Additionally, you will be able to identify strengths and develop opportunities within processes/programs as needed, whilst nurturing diverse teams to exceptional performance.

Other key skills required:
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.)
  • A good knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Excellent planning, communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working day and environment
