I have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Director to join a key client of mine and follow the organisation on their growth trajectory, this role has now glass ceiling in terms of progression for the right candidate. As well as offering the successful individual to partner with interesting and exciting stakeholders while giving back to the community.

Duties of the Commercial Director:

Working with the CEO on the Charities overarching strategy, responsible for the creation, delivery, development and adaptation of the income generation strategy and portfolio to achieve the agreed fund-raising targets, working closely with fund-raising team members and building the team to hit targets and ROIs, increasing fund raising income year on year
Increase charity income by seeking new appropriate opportunities and developing relationships to build on the portfolio
Work with the CEO & CFO in recognising each funding stream and its impact on the services delivered, managing these streams to ensure we are raising the required funds for the required services
Represent in supplier negotiations, supporters and funders meetings and networking opportunities
Report monthly on progress and forecasting against targets for fund-raising and CEO meetings, assisting the CEO & CFO in the annual budgeting process
Commercial oversight of all live contracts, applied for grants and pipeline income and coach and develop a commercial mind set within the fund-raising and wider teams
Handle P&L control and management of fund-raising and non-fund-raising projects
Contract review of all commercial agreements prior to CFO & CEO sign off
Line manage fund-raising team of 9 individuals, supporting their career progression
Monitor budgets, income targets and ROI for all fund-raising, reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to the CEO and Executive Team
Oversee budgets, on all commercial contracts held with external funders, reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to the CEO and Executive Team
Monitor all major and strategic delivery contracts, ensuring adherence to all requirements and flagging to the Executive team any deviation from the planned delivery path
Ensure appropriate controls for GDPR are in place, for effective management of all data
Champion the use of the CRM system through Raisers Edge NXT, utilising reporting to benefit the team
Become the commercial "go to" person for all departments and teams, encouraging and developing best commercial practices in all services
Work closely with the COO and CMO in ensuring the delivery of services and contracts are in line with the agreed SLAs and performance targets
Work closely with HR, IT & Finance in ensuring all horizon projects are thought through and planned for in advance of being needed
Ensure that all activity helps to build the Charity is at all times brand compliantEssential Requirements of the Commercial Director:

Strategic thinker and problem solver, with strong interpersonal skills; forging successful relationships with various stakeholders
Experienced in managing P&L's and budgets
Knowledge of obtaining sponsorship and funding for activities, events, buildings and services
A proactive and goal-orientated leader with excellent communication skills; including excellent presentation and written skills
Excellent IT skills, including mainstream office packages and experience of using donor relationship management systems or CRM system
Creative thinking, including ability to think laterally about all types of audience engagement opportunities to maximise support for the organisation
Knowledge of income-generation within a charity/social enterprise/not for profit setting
Working with third party fund-raising and community groups
Experience of working with high net worth individuals and committees
