Description

You will be responsible for the preparation of timely, accurate financial information for reporting into the Finance Director and external Joint Venture partners to support decision making within the business. You will be responsible for the financial control for 5 Joint Ventures, overseeing the day-to-day activities and preparing accurate forecasts, budgets and cashflows. You will also be required to carry out ad hoc projects while working closely with Finance Director.
  • Being a strong partner for the Finance Director
  • Production of joint venture budgets, forecasts, and review of monthly management accounts (prepared by the Joint Venture Management Accountant) to strict deadlines
  • Maintaining Joint Venture financial forecasting models
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis on JVs
  • Produce JV board papers, including detailed analysis and commentary
  • Highlight and analyse monthly operating results while reporting on variances and communicating findings back to Finance Director
  • Ensuring the audit process for the Joint Ventures is completed within deadlines
  • Always Safeguarding the assets of the business through high quality controls
  • Producing and updating timely data for reporting KPI's

Profile
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years post qualified experience
  • Experience of implementing new processes and procedures and consistently challenging such processes to improve the quality of output
  • Experience of working to strict reporting deadlines
  • Focus on controls and procedures with a high attention to detail
  • 'Right first time' attitude and ability to self-check
  • Proactive approach, including issue resolution
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Excel to an advanced standard
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience of dealing with management on a regular basis to provide clear, concise, accurate information
  • Experience working within a housebuilding or construction environment would be beneficial
