The team works alongside Business Development & Strategic Partnerships team (XB) and the wider team to drive growth in equity value for Jaguar Land Rover.Robust commercial and financial appraisal lies at the heart of high quality strategic decision making. In the Strategy & Sustainability team, the role of the Manager, Strategy & Planning, is a critical component in developing Jaguar Land Rover's global corporate and operational strategy, through the provision of the right financial information, commercial advice and recommendations that support the business make effective data driven decisions.The role is both hands on, supporting daily operations, and strategic through creation of commercially astute plans.The successful candidate will drive projects through clear project management and deliver detailed financial analyses, incl. interpreting findings, to provide insights to support critical strategic decisions.The successful candidate must also build and nurture business relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders across JLR's global operations, the finance community and wider business, as well as strong external relationships with Tata group companies, Joint Venture and other partners.The team operates a flexible resourcing model, allowing individuals to work across a range of projects depending on business requirements and people's development needs.As the Corporate Strategy Manager, you'll: Lead specific activities across the aforementioned areas Deliver key workstreams (such as strategic analysis, financial analysis or negotiations) on a large project Identify and work effectively with key stakeholders and approval forums for the specific project(s) Work autonomously and cross-functionally to deliver the answers to specific questions, making clear and concise recommendations Oversee, review and challenge commercial and financial analysis, supporting the development of clear, data driven recommendations to Enterprise Leaders and the Board to ensure effective business decision making Review and input into key commercial and legal agreements to ensure JLR's interests are identified and protected appropriately Be flexible by supporting additional deliverables across the wider S&S organisation as required Balance strategy work with team commitments, developing our people across the wider team Support reporting to senior leadership on project progress and gateway reviews, including CEO and CFO Engage stakeholders and external partners, representing JLR with professionalism and confidence Have a positive attitude and desire to make a difference at the heart of Jaguar Land Rover with strong leadership and a team-oriented approach to workWHAT YOU'LL NEEDAs the Corporate Strategy Manager, you'll need the following: Reporting, presenting and influencing up to Board level Previous experience of working in a strategic environment, ideally within the automotive sector Significant experience in building business cases and interpreting financial analysis Working in a demanding environment, managing high-performing team members Experience of building successful relationships with external parties Strong project management experience essential Educated to degree level or equivalent Professional qualification - Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), MBA or equivalent Experience of managing direct reports, developing, reviewing and tracking progress against short-term objectives, as well as providing guidance on a longer term Personal Development PlansThis role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
