Goodman Masson are supporting a leading Housing Association with their search for an interim Finance Officer with an immediate start. This role will sit within the Rents and Service Charge team, providing finance support across all elements of the service charge life cycle for tenants, leaseholder, and shared owners. In this role you will be responsible for:
Managing invoicing to leaseholders for service charges and other costs
Performing sundry invoicing
Maintaining cash books for the general bank account, rent bank account and deposit bank account
Ensuring the organisation's financial regulations are complied with
Providing ad-hoc support for other colleagues within the finance and procurement team.
Monitoring posting of service charges and sheltered/supported repairsThe Successful candidate will:
Be a part qualified or AAT qualified Accountant, or be qualified by experience
Have experience of preparing, monitoring, and controlling service charge budgets, estimates and actuals
Have experience of Open Accounts and Northgate Housing software or have demonstrable experience of other finance and housing management systems
Have excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
This role will require you to be in the office for induction and training, however they can offer fully remote working for the remainder of your contract if applicable
