Job Title: Project Support Officer
Location: Hybrid l Home-based with onsite presence at the location based in Birmingham
Hourly Pay Rate: £16.97 to £21.66 dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday)
Length of the contract: Initially 3 months
Grafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint an experienced Project Support Officer to our Public Sector client based in Birmingham. The Project Support Officer will work across all healthcare sectors and manage aspects of the end of life and dementia work programmes. The Project Support Officer is also responsible for reviewing, developing and managing project plans, progress, risk and issue reporting and management.
Duties of the Project Support Officer
Review, develop and manage project plans, progress risk and issue reporting and management.
Develop, embed and review a clear communication plan to ensure delivery of the project objectives.
Manage data mapping, service mapping and modelling data to support the Integration Managers.
Develop and implement a content management system to ensure information is properly managed and shared across the system as appropriate.
Prepare, deliver, collate and follow-up workshops aligned to the programmes of work.
Maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in relevant internal and external work groups, projects, services and initiatives to provide information and analytical advice and expertise.
Present information and issues, explaining high complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Work with members of the team to investigate the causes of any variance from targets and plans and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
Provide regular reporting on the targeting of resources and monitoring their implementation from a value for money perspective.
Provide oversight and monitoring of all aspects of project budget.
Evaluate projects within identified portfolios for delivery against financial recovery and savings plans, through sophisticated and high quality project analysis.
Contribute to strategic planning of the project, identifying interdependencies across projects and functions, potential impacts on the wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments where necessary.
Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
Post-graduate degree in Management studies or equivalent.
Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
Experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
Experience of managing risks and reporting.
Understanding of the Public Sector.
Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required.
Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills.
Knowledge of financial systems e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement.
