A global business based in Scarborough is currently recruiting for a Cost Controller to support their team on a temporary basis, initially for 3 to 6 months, with the potentiality of permanent opportunities for the right individual. On offer is a negotiable hourly rate of circa £12.50 per hour, depending on experience, alongside benefits of flexible hours, hybrid working and an on-site gym.

This business has sites in Scarborough and Whitby and so you could benefit from working from either of these, all well as some working from home. This role is easily commutable from Scarborough, Whitby, Malton, Filey, Bridlington, Pickering and surrounding areas. Parking is also provided onsite and some sites are accessible via public transport.

As a Cost Controller, you will be supporting the Finance Team during a busy period, focusing on various different projects the business is working on:

Preparing and maintaining costs reports and forecasts
Completing variance reports, as well as evaluating
Expedite approvals for requisitions, changes and invoice payments
Processing invoices, matching payments and maintaining cost forecasts on various contracts and projects
Proactively identify and highlight risks, challenges and opportunities and look to reduce, remove or act upon theseWe are keen to speak with individuals who have previous experience in a Cost Controller or Accounts Admin position and have previous experience working with accountancy software such as SAGE, SAP, Xero or Quickbooks. We are also eager to speak with individuals who have some experience in administration or data entry roles, with finance experience or those who are currently studying their AAT qualification.

The successful individual will also ideally be numerically minded and have good knowledge and understanding of Excel.
