Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)

Salary: Salary Up to £55,000 Depending upon location and experience

The Role:

We currently have a new vacancy for a Senior Delivery Manager to work within our Start Up Loans Team.

Established in 2012, Start Up Loans (SUL) is a subsidiary of the British Business Bank and our mission is to make business ownership a viable career for individuals who struggle to raise finance. We provide affordable loans and mentoring to help businesses start up and succeed. In August 2020, we have supported 75,000 businesses to access finance with the ambition to support an even greater number of SMEs in years to come. We do this by working with a national network of Delivery Partners and a Finance Partner. You will join a committed, collaborative, and creative team who take immense pride in their work and helping new businesses make the best possible start.

As Senior Delivery Manager for the HUB team, an internal Delivery Partner for Start Up Loans, you will lead a team of managers and advisors who support HUB customers to apply for a Start Up Loan. You will also support the HUB by overseeing credit risk management processes to ensure compliant credit decision making and responsible lending. As a Senior manager within the SUL Customer Experience Team, you will provide clarity on scheme rules where appropriate and, at times, work with SUL Directorate to guide process design and implementation to maximise capacity and ensure delivery of scheme targets.

Your role will be to ensure the team has clear direction and operates within the designated risk and compliance guidelines. You will monitor and report on HUB performance, team outputs and escalate issues to the SUL Customer Experience Director, Director of Credit and Lending, wider SUL management team, British Business Bank and wider government.

To be considered for this role you will have an excellent knowledge of risk operations and compliance processes and ensuring the management of these, ideally within a financial services environment. You will also have precision and attention to detail, particularly whilst following and adhering to strict governance processes with high quality report writing skills.

You will have the ability to lead effectively, independently, and within a collaborative team-orientated environment, using sound judgement in decision making as well as being competent managing stakeholders at a variety of levels and providing regular status updates to ensure confidence.

You must have a proven track record of leading teams to deliver in fast-paced environments whilst maintaining compliance and adhering to required standards of detail.

You will be decisive, and solution orientated and proficient with MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.

Knowledge of KYC and AML procedures is essential along with expertise in risk management and credit processes and proven relevant experience gained in Retail Financial Services. Lending Credit and underwriting experience are essential for this role.
