Full Time Attendance Officer role in Notts to start immediately. Your new companyThis role has been made available by an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Secondary Academy in Nottinghamshire accommodating approximately 1500 students aged between 11 and 16. The school has a workforce that display relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. The academy works hard to motivate the students, preparing them to the best of their ability for later life.Your new roleThe academy are looking for a full time Attendance Officer to join the school on a temporary basis running until May 30th. Within this role, you will be monitoring student attendance on the SIMS database, maintaining records and building up reports regarding attendance issues, forming communication channels between the academy and parents regarding absence issues and providing general support to the academies administration team. The working hours are between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday.What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will have exceptional organisational and time management skills. You will be able to work in a professional manner at all times and form strong working relationships with students, staff and parents. Ideally, you will have experience using the SIMS school system and have strong phone communication skills. We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum and you will need to be willing to undergo a DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.What you'll get in returnAs well as receiving a competitive rate of pay, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an outstanding school.
