The Global Solutions Consultants (GSC) group works with various Finastra teams to ensure that all pre-sales activities are executed to the highest possible standards and ensure that all proposals provide a compelling value proposition and truly meet the customer's needs. The members of the Global Solutions Consultants group have a wide range of both business and technical skills and competencies, are highly motivated and drive best practice approach to all pre-sales activities, including customer facing demos, customer workshops and RFI and RFP management.

Thanks to their experience at established leaders in the world of Fintech, with a history of selling and implementing software and managed services offerings in the Financial Services industry, the GSC Engagement Managers have an acute understanding of the important milestones of customer engagements and can drive the translation of win strategies, growth initiatives and business objectives into smart, compelling, consistent, customer-focused documents and presentations. While project managing activities through departments and escalating risk to regional directors and sales leadership when required, the GSC Engagement Managers take ownership and proactively remove any barriers to the timely and successful conclusion of sales opportunities.

As a GSC Engagement Manager at Finastra, you will be exposed to a wide range of businesses in the financial industry and, driving complex engagements in a stimulating environment, you will be a key contributor to the achievement of the company's financial and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
  • Plan and manage presales engagements and proposals from outset to closure on selected opportunities
  • Manage multiple stakeholders internally (Engagement Team) and externally, mobilizing resources from presales subject matter experts, product management, sales, partners, services, and customer success teams. The Engagement Team is a matrixed team, by nature virtual and dynamic.
  • Build and deliver the highest standards in proposals and presentations through collaborative work approaches, creating accountability of each team members for their deliverables.
  • Provide critical input and questioning from a customer perspective to ensure best coverage of customer needs
  • Ensure alignment of the engagement team on a consistent and up to date messaging all along the engagement
  • Ensure consistency and coherency in the way our field organisation is presenting our solutions, architecture and associated benefits to our customers, especially for Hosted and Managed Services opportunities
  • Identify risks and build appropriate mitigation plans and point of escalation to drive the engagement to a successful closure
  • Recommend and document new approaches that will result in improving our Field / Sales organisation
  • Work with the Regional Director to share learning and improve our best practices
Role and Experience
The role requires you to lead external engagements and work collaboratively to be successful. You are expected to have a strong experience in the financial software industry, show a deep understanding of the business and buying processes of financial institutions.

In the role, you will be expected to coordinate a virtual team, to create client specific value propositions and to synthesize and articulate our value propositions and main differentiators to senior business and technical stakeholders at customers, partners and Fintechs.
  • Required experience of 5-7 years in selling, consulting and implementing software and managed services solutions in the Financial Services Industry
  • Extensive knowledge of working in a software vendor environment and understanding of product life cycle management
  • Experience in selling cloud, Managed services or platform offerings
  • Demonstrated skills of working collaboratively in a large cross-functional environment
  • Program management experience and proven background of working in transformation projects in a field / sales function. Exemplary organizational skills; qualification(s) in any of the project management disciplines is desirable
  • Exposure to commercially sensitive large-scale delivery projects with C level management visibility
  • Knowledge of Finastra product suite is desirable
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and understanding of how to leverage them in the context of cloud transformation
  • Ability to drive the field / sales organization in progressing a customer engagement to successful conclusion
  • Ability to proactively resolve conflicts efficiently, removing barriers to the pursuit of the engagements, ensuring all stakeholders are progressing on the same path
  • Ability to demonstrate accountability and commitment by making sound decisions
  • Ability to understand customer business drivers and the synergies with the proposed solution
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with empathy and integrity, and to foster positive relations internally and externally
  • Ability to guide, lead and influence leadership team and key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English; another European language would be advantageous
  • Willingness to travel internationally as it may be required from time to time
