Willis Towers Watson's Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) provides a powerful combination of advisory services for insurance companies, integrated with leading-edge technology solutions and software that is underpinned by unparalleled analytical capabilities.

The Technology Consultant will specialise in data analysis & architecture, providing advice to clients, as well as designing and implementing solutions in many aspects of data management. These include ODS, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications using various RDBMS and non-relational platforms and technologies. • Advise clients on a diverse set of product and vendors in the data management space (e.g. Snowflake, Mulesoft, Teradata, Hadoop, PowerBI, etc).

In addition, given the ubiquity in today's market, the incumbent would be able to credibly discuss the advantages and challenges of data management in the cloud as well as the intersection of data management with security topics and technologies.

  • Gain experience in multiple business areas (Life insurance, P&C insurance, pricing, underwriting, IFRS17, advanced analytics) across multiple markets.
  • Work in an international and diverse team atmosphere.

The position is in our "hybrid" work style, predominantly based from home with some client and WTW office travel when needed.

The Requirements
  • Substantial experience in either an insurance company or within global technology consulting, professional services or client facing software organisation, combined with some Insurance industry experience (Life or P&C).
  • Experience architecting data management and/or analytics solutions on cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure but knowledge of platforms such as Snowflake would be beneficial).
  • Experience of design, setup, and implementation of the infrastructure elements of a data platform.
  • Experience in the architecture, techniques, and tools to support various data integration designs.
  • Well versed in data architecture approaches to ingest, model, and serve data from various sources including core business / finance systems, ERP, CRM, and HR systems. Actual tooling may include Azure Data Factory or Databricks as an example.
  • Experience utilising the various non structured and structured storage and database solutions native to the cloud providers with an emphasis on DWH technologies (e.g., Redshift, Synapse, Snowflake).
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling and data architecture for modern data platforms including temporal tables, normal forms, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex technology projects and project teams.
  • Ability to lead sales engagements in a technology consulting / software environment.
  • Ability to be a trusted advisor.
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and Client Relationship Management.
  • Ability to transition between operating at a strategic level and in the detail. Being a project leader as well as an individual contributor.
  • Relevant technical degree or experience preferable (e.g., Computer Science degree).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for presentation.
  • Ability to travel where required.

Additional desired skills and qualifications:
  • Fluent in English and in at least one the following languages: Spanish, Italian, French.
