We are looking for a high-energy individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills who will work with the Sales community to drive sales of Finastra banking solutions, specifically its next generation banking solution, Fusion Essence and related third party solutions. Fusion Essence is a complete retail and commercial banking platform that is capable of being configured easily to suit the needs of any bank. We have built Fusion Essence from the ground up over the past few years. It's a cloud native, microservice API architecture platform. Finastra has extensive experience delivering market leading solutions and driving a culture of engineering excellence.

The consultant will be part of the European GSC team and with a focus on the pan European market. The GSC (Global Solution Consulting) team works with various Finastra teams, mainly sales, marketing, product management, implementation, customer support, to drive and win new business from established and new name banks. Additionally, it aims to transition clients off our or other vendor legacy platforms on to next generation technologies. GSC have a wide range of both business and technical skills and competencies within their team, and are highly involved in pre-sales activities, demos, RFIs and RFPs management and detailed workshops.

You will be expected to work collaboratively and proactively with the sales, product management and services teams. Domain knowledge of Core Banking acquired either through working in a Bank, with a Finastra partner, with a competitor or through direct work experience embracing modern technologies and banking solutions, is essential. The candidate must show an understanding of banking business processes and be able to articulate the inherent value of Finastra Cloud & technology solutions from a banking perspective.

  • Product Demos: Be able to give out of the box demos and create custom demos where required to illustrate specific functionality. This could require changing configuration of standard demos to meet custom requirements.
  • Technical and Functional presentations: You will need to understand Fusion Essence Digital Channels and Core Banking from a technical and functional perspective and how to present this information from perspective of prospective clients.
  • Target State Solution Architecture Workshops: Participate in workshops with prospective customers to understand their target state and understand where Finastra solutions would fit in their overall architecture
  • Solution Workshops: Participate in workshops with existing and prospective customers to understand what the final solution will look like, identifying product and configuration gaps.
  • Gather market information from interaction with prospective and current customers: market insight, trend spotting, etc.
  • Build trusted relationships with individuals from prospective and current customers
  • RFI and RFP responses
  • Contribute in proposals targeted at individual prospective clients to meet their needs.
  • Show commercial awareness around enterprise software licensing models and procurement processes and cycles implemented by banks

Experience and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of internal bank processes around retail banking/core banking/payments etc.
  • Understanding and knowledge of current trends in technology, specifically in banking and fintech
  • Excellent communication skills, in particular, the ability to respond in clear concise English whether spoken, written, or presentation
  • Articulate key issues and concerns of customers, prospects and be able to design the overall solution with these in mind
  • Ability to operate at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Commercial awareness (understand pricing models and commercial aspects of sales process)
  • Background in banking, fintech, vendor or consultancy and in client facing roles
  • Passionate about the demonstrating the value of Finastra solutions as well as demonstrating the art of the possible.
  • Working with teams across different time zones
  • Willing to travel, as required
