Production Operative

A Production Operative is required to join a manufacturing company based in Rowley Regis.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative to join a large well-established manufacturing company, operating various machines as and when required to complete medium to large batches of components. This includes operating a power press, piercing machine, drilling machine, bandsaw and a deburring machine.

Ideally, you will have similar experience to some the above in a manufacturing environment. If you have done any work on any of the above machines you may be suitable for this role.

Duties include;

• Assembling components
• Operating a power press and lathe (no setting involved)
• Operating a piercing machine to pierce holes
• Drilling batches of tubes
• Operating the bandsaw to cut steel to size

The shift pattern for this position would be straight days;

8:00am - 5:00pm with a 2:00pm finish on Fridays. Initially your rate of pay will be £9.65 per hour.

It is an on-going position with a view to a perm contract after a probationary period and the client is looking to get people started ASAP!
