This hugely successful manufacturing business are looking for a Payroll & Administration Assistant to cover for maternity (15 months) to help support the business and make sure not only are staff paid on time, but the financial cogs keep turning.

It's a very varied and rewarding role and you'll be able to further develop your skills too and you'll be well rewarded with a salary of up to £27,000 plus a benefits package which includes parking; pension (7%); healthcare; discount card, life assurance and more.

What's the Job?

Working within a small finance team, this is a multi-faceted role and will combine both payroll and the accounts function of the UK HQ of this worldwide business; duties will include:

Payroll (130 staff):
  • Handling the payroll process from start to finish using Sage
  • Handling all queries quickly and efficiently
  • Processing P45s; SSP, SMP, SPP and P11Ds
  • Handling pension payments
  • Dealing with PAYE / HMRC payments

Accounts:
  • Credit control and managing aged debtors
  • Processing expenses
  • Inputting customer receipts

Business Administration:
  • Organising travel including visas
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Coordinator external suppliers (mobile phones, insurance etc)

What experience do you need?

You will already have extensive experience within a busy accounts / payroll environment; you'll also need:
  • Sage Payroll essential
  • SAP (desirable but not essential)
  • Confident payroll skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment desirable
