Lean is how we deliver for our people and our patients. The Global Operations Lean Centre of Excellence is responsible for developing and deploying the behaviours, principles, standards and tools of the AstraZeneca Supply System (AZSS) across our network to drive tangible business value.
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a core component of our AstraZeneca Supply System, helping to create the equipment reliability and people capability needed to enable the delivery of more medicines to more patients, more quickly and more affordably.
Reporting to the TPM Global Process Owner, the Global TPM Academy Coach owns the development, delivery, budget and running of the TPM Academy. TPM Academy is a new immersive learning experience, designed to help accelerate our TPM strategy by effective deployment of the behaviours, principles, standards and tools of TPM across the AZ network.
As Global TPM Academy coach, you'll be accountable for all aspects of the overall operational performance of TPM academy. To deliver tangible improvement in capabilities, behaviours and ultimately performance improvement of key assets.
Lean transformation is not static and evolves as we mature. Hence our TPM approach must also evolve. We'll ask you to lead the evolution of TPM academy to ensure it remains aligned to business priorities.
We'll need you to be passionate about digital to support AstraZeneca's aspiration to accelerate the use of digital solutions to improve the efficiency of the AZSS. You will be responsible, in conjunction with your network and IT partners for the development of the digital strategy for TPM Academy.What you'll do:
You'll lead the Global TPM Academy approach to drive and deploy TPM in a coordinated way across the network. This will involve driving measurable business improvement using TPM methodologies by bringing to life, real business experiences and TPM subject matter expertise with mixture of coaching and influencing.
We'll look for you to be a TPM exemplar - through role modelling, coaching and facilitation in our TPM Academy programmes. A champion for TPM and a senior Lean leader globally ensuring Lean/TPM thinking is embedded into all that is done.
We will support you to deliver best practice adult education, facilitation and coaching as part of an industry leading adult learning experience. This will include participant support before, during and after attendance at the TPM Academy.
You will work with the overall global TPM Network team, helping shape and develop the TPM approach for the future.
You'll collaborate with regional and site Lean leads/process champions to engage them in TPM and TPM Academy approach. You'll ensure that there is sufficient support to fully utilise TPM to drive strategic improvement within the supply chain, regions and sites.
TPM requires significant business change to be embedded. Through working closely with the Global Process Owner for TPM and business leaders/HR, you'll ensure the WHY for TPM is understood and reinforced through a comprehensive communications and change plan.
We'll help you to develop in the role, to play a pivotal part as a treasured member of relevant cross-functional AZ and external Lean forums/ organisations/ communities of practice.
Through internal standard methodology and external benchmarking we'll expect you to improve what good looks like.
You'll represent AZ externally, acting as a brand ambassador and for AZ as a great place to work.
We'll support you to own and manage the digitalisation of your portfolio to optimise value delivery and exploit technology developments. This'll include scaling standard solutions centrally whilst sponsoring innovation locally using Agile/DT approaches to develop new solutions quickly and with the user in mind.Preferred Criteria:
- Educated to undergraduate degree level or higher in technical/business subject area
- Demonstrates significant industry related experience in TPM projects and programs with a track record of delivering business impact and sustained change
- Experience of working collaboratively with cross functional teams and building key networks across functions, regions and sites.
- People focussed with facilitation skills and desire to learn about Adult Learning principles
- Experience of coaching others to bring about improvement, e.g. Lean methodology
- Confident/convincing communicator, adept at inspiring change across various groups including senior leadership.
- Experience of GMP and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing/Services assets/equipment
