Senior Analyst, Internal Audit at Checkout.com
We're looking for an internal audit professional who will support the Audit function here at Checkout.com!
As the Senior Analyst, Internal Audit you'll work closely with the Internal Audit team in both the UK & Singapore to perform moderately complex audit assignments. You'll be confident, well experienced in audit and have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, while being able to demonstrate the ability to assist with planning for, and conducting audits in a fast-paced environment.
Internal Audit represents the third line of defense and provides independent assurance of the effectiveness of management's control of business activities (the first line) and of the control processes maintained by the Risk Framework Owners and Policy Owners (the second line). Internal Audit is an independent function whose primary role is to help the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the business. What You'll Be Doing
  • Support the audit lead with the delivery of end-to-end audit activities within CKO Internal Audit.
  • Assist with producing quality analysis and contributing to the annual risk assessment process and related annual audit plan.
  • Contributing to the delivery of quality risk-based, value adding audit work on a timely basis in line with the audit methodology.
  • Assist the audit lead with coordination of audits, including engagement in planning, execution, reporting and audit file completion.
  • Assisting the audit lead with drafting high quality detailed, relevant and accurate audit work-papers and documents on the effectiveness of CKO's internal control environment.
  • Tracking allocated outstanding management actions through to closure, ensuring they are appropriately resolved with supporting evidence or escalated in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain internal relationships with key stakeholders and regularly interact with the business during the year to assess changes in the control environment and other matters arising in the business.
  • Keep up to date with business developments, regulatory change, internal policies, and audit objectives so that audit work remains relevant, timely and valuable.
About You
  • University degree educated and/or relevant experience in audit/assurance function (3-5 years).
  • Professional certification or working towards achieving Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) or ACAMS certification (preferable).
  • Experience in evaluating compliance and operational risk controls across multiple jurisdictions in the payments and/or financial services industry.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills to build internal networks within the team and wider business, and the ability to articulate business risks and controls.
  • Ability to design audit test programs to evaluate the adequacy of system and manual controls.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in problem solving and being able to implement and deliver solution.
  • Good organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage concurrent timeframes and multiple priorities.
  • Passion for understanding the payments industry and keeping up to date with business developments, internal polices and regulatory changes.
