Role description:

Here at Arcadis we have an opportunity for a Project Cost Consultant, with a focus across Estimating, to join out Successful team in our Rail Consultancy business. (What more do we need to say...? Apply apply apply...!)

You'll be taking ownership of civil engineering projects with a value of of up to £10 million, supporting our clients and senior members of the team deliver world class Estimating work to the likes of HS2, Transport for London & Network Rail. (You must be hooked by now...!)

Role accountabilities:

At this level you are able to work with out clients & internal teams to deliver your work across some of the biggest infrastructure projects in the UK.

Your experience across established financial systems, your ability to monitor and review project costs and variances on infrastructure projects to to control cost variables will add massive value to our team.

You'll understand, in detail, robust Estimating procedures & processes to enable our clients meet their targets & scope of works. You'll have a wider understanding of risk & compliance too.

You would be well on the way to becoming a true expert with Arcadis, advising & challenging our clients. You'll be very data driven, with experience of presenting & analysing data, making recommendations to support cost and commercial management decision-making.

You'll have a keen eye for innovation, using your own expert knowledge and experience to review and analyse existing cost and commercial management processes and policies, sharing knowledge and taking an active involvement in service improvement and innovation.

We also encourage collaboration where possible. We'd love you to break down barriers, challenge the norm & work collaboratively with external stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of their needs in order to resolve stakeholder issues and provide quality client care, contributing to ongoing client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

Sounds exciting right... of course, with this being such a pivotal role, there are a few "must haves" we love you to demonstrate on your CV...

We'd ideally love to see a degree equivalent in a relevant discipline, civil engineer experience would hold you in good stead for this role.

Experience in whole life cycle costing would be beneficial, along with an ambition to achieve Chartered status if you haven't already reached that milestone.

We'd love to see your in-depth technical knowledge in the Estimating field, with the ability to work with customers both internally & externally. Managing stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered successfully.
