Exciting New Payroll Senior role in Sheffield encompassing analyst and process/system implementation work Your new companyWe are recruiting an experienced Payroll Senior/Analyst to work for an award winning and international manufacturing and supply company in their Sheffield office. With offices across the UK, they are one of the leading businesses in their specialist area.Your new roleThis role is an exciting new role based in the organisation's Sheffield office, initially joining the business to improve and implement new payroll processes and systems to better align payroll to HR and Finance across the organisation. Alongside this, and following completion of this process, your role will move towards a more analytically focused role around payroll submission and things such as absence analysis.The current process is a very manual, Excel driven process, compiling data for external 3rd party bureau submission. It is therefore imperative that you are a confident user of Excel alongside an individual who may have reviewed and implemented new payroll processes and procedures in your career.Main Area of responsibility
  • Payroll preparation and processing using a 3rd party payroll bureau for 2 x monthly payrolls
  • Time & Attendance system management and updating for use of payroll submissions
  • Absence management reporting and auctioning Return to works
  • Managing working patterns and payment calculations
  • Monthly & annual payroll reporting and submissions
  • Temporary workforce management
  • Benefits management of providers and reporting
  • HR Administration
  • Annual tax reporting
  • Pension administration
  • HR Analytics
  • Covering multi sites x3

To be successful in this role you have will have the following:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working within Payroll alongside previous review, implementation and design of processes and procedures
  • Good working knowledge of payroll and tax reporting processes
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Excel (including v-lookups and pivot tables)
  • Should be comfortable working with various databases/systems
  • Be trustworthy and capable of operating in a highly confidential environment
  • Be a team player

What you'll get in return
  • Salary range: c.£35,000 (Depending on experience)
  • Hours of work: Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 16.00, Friday 07.30 - 12.30
  • Holidays: 25 days + statutory public holidays
  • Pension 6% employer contribution + 4 % employee contribution
  • Potential negotiability around partial home-based working
