Job Title: Interim Curriculum Manager- Building ServicesLocation: EssexSalary: £250- £300 per day Hours: Full Time for 3 months

Are you an aspiring leader with drive and passion? Our REED Further Education branch are currently working with a fantastic college who are looking for an Interim Curriculum Manager- Building Services

Reporting to the Head of Department, the Curriculum Manager will be responsible for the operational leadership and management of a designated curriculum area(s). This includes ensuring good people and resource management practices, successful achievement of qualifications as well as the overall learning, progression and experience of learners.

The Curriculum Manger role carries a teaching commitment of 10 hours per week.

The Role:
  • Lead the development of a responsive and relevant curriculum offer through effective leadership of the curriculum team(s) .
  • Keep abreast of new and future developments affecting area(s) of responsibility, Government initiatives and policies for FE, and work with the Head of Department to maximise new and emerging opportunities.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and management to curriculum team leaders, coordinators and colleagues within designated area(s).
  • As part of the college leadership forum, coordinate relevant cross-college projects and T-shaped initiatives.
  • Lead sharing of IQA best practice in designated curriculum area as well as responding to External Verification action points.
  • Line manage designated curriculum colleagues and implement relevant college policies and procedures e.g. local induction, probation, disciplinary, risk assessment, absence management, equality of opportunity, health and safety etc.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that accurate, complete and up-to-date data are uploaded into college information systems and databases

What you will need:
  • Leadership and management qualification
  • Cert Ed/PGCE or relevant teaching/training qualification & Degree
  • An understanding of awarding body internal verification and external
  • Knowledge of changing sector requirements, and national and global trends, and the ability to interpret these into curriculum plans
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and developing teaching, learning and assessment provision in accordance with quality assurance frameworks
  • Experience of providing inspirational leadership and management to teams, resulting in enhanced teaching, learning and assessment practices, growth and organisational change.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to use technological tools and systems to enhance delivery of learning and general practice
  • Experience of working to the Common Inspection Framework & Experience of liaising with awarding bodies
