The Role

Commercial Underwriters & Development Underwriters required. The Development Underwriter role involves the development of your own panel of brokers through the acquisition of new business and the renewal of an existing book of business within a trading team of underwriters. The successful candidate will have at their disposal a unique selection of commercial insurance products including, Property, Liability, CAR, Professional Indemnity, Bonds, Legal Expenses and other niche insurance offerings provided by a select panel of Insurer partners.

The Candidate

Candidates will ideally have:

• At least 3 years Commercial underwriting experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a busy team environment
• Educated to A level standard
• Good MS office skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Good relationship building skills
• Cert CII qualification

Office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with 25 days annual holiday, plus bank holidays and one extra day's holiday near Christmas.
