Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Support Worker
Leader Education is working in partnership with an independent SEMH School based in Doncaster working with children aged 14-16-years-old.
We are recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Support Worker to work in a specialist independent SEMH school, providing educational support to students.
You will have previous experience of working with students with SEMH - social, emotional and mental health issues (previously known as BESD, SEBD & EBD).
You will have excellent behaviour management skills as well as patience, empathy and understanding.
THE JOB:
you will be required to provide either one to one support or small group support to learners with SEMH - Social Emotional and Mental Health issues
to comply with individual learning plans
to take direction from the class teacher
YOU:
You must be an experienced classroom support assistant with a good level of experience of working with students with SEMH
be patient and resilient
be creative
make learning fun
excellent communication skills
Team Teach trained would be advantageous, although training can be given.
This is a full time, permanent vacancy, immediate start.
