This role will be working on a new program of work looking at a full end to end Business -Strategic System Review. The individual will be working closely with the Program Manager / Enterprise Architect and business users.

You will be responsible for project managing the entire review project, and such must possess excellent communication and project management reporting ( Raid /Risk / Activity reporting skills ) and must be comfortable with managing to C suite level.

Role Description
Reporting to the Transformation - Program Manager the role is responsible for the effective planning and delivery of multiple projects in line with the defined project governance standards - using a hybrid of both Agile / Waterfall Prince 2 methodologies.

For new projects, the role will ensure that detailed project deliverables have been defined, documented and approved (in a PID) and that all appropriate funding has been secured to cover the internal IT, operational delivery, testing and 3rd party supplier costs prior to commencing any work.

The role will be responsible for delivery of a range of projects - managing work through internal and external teams, managing project stakeholder, creating, and owning a full project plan, reporting progress against key project milestones and budget forecasts and maintaining a RAID log.

The project manager - in partnership with the Head of PMO - will also be responsible for agreeing the business prioritization and delivery timelines with the key business stakeholders and report progress via the project Steering Committee and project sponsors.

Responsibilities

Creating a recognizable end to end project milestone and delivery plans, including key business tasks where appropriate.
Maintaining strict cost / budget controls.
Identifying and securing project delivery operational ownership and testing resources.
Day to day management of project team members and their activities
Liaising with business unit owners, third-party vendors and technical contractors and consultants to deliver the project in line with the published plan and within budget.
Maintaining regular Change Logs and to present all changes to original scope and costs at the steering committee for approval.
Responsible for defining the project deliverables in line with the business objectives and ensure project status reports and RAID logs are regularly maintained.

Accountabilities

Developing and maintaining Project Management Lifecycle & Governance
Project delivery and reporting of both Business and IT / IS.
The introduction of project management best practice (Prince 2) across the Company group
Maintaining 3rd party projects in line with the agreed Company standards
Regular progress reporting and prioritization of projects
Project cost management in line with agreed project budget
Tasks
Operational:

Define project scope, goals and deliverables.
Define project plan and communication requirements.
Effectively communicate project expectations to all stakeholders.
Liaise with project stakeholders throughout the project (internal and external).
Where necessary negotiate with other departments for the acquisition of required personnel from the company.
Manage project delivery in line with resource and cost constraints.
Delegate responsibility to the appropriate personnel.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Track project milestones and deliverables.
Help define test and release plans.
Prepare the test environment and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues.
Manage the seamless change into the live environment.
Conduct lessons learned reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
Liaise with 3rd party providers, where necessary, over operational issues.
Assist with other IT support responsibilities where necessary
