Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a leading luxury retail brand. This is a 6 month contract role with an immediate start available and offering hybrid work options. You will be responsible for compiling the full management accounts for the group of companies, while making sure that performance targets are met. You will also be involved in month -end reporting to the parent company, managing treasury reports, assisting in budgeting, and forecasting and managing all finance related activities. The role also involves liaising with Auditors and Tax consultants and ensuring the in-house stock and ordering system is accurately maintained As a Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Compile the closing of the store accounts and month end reporting, accurately recording assets and liabilities on a timely basis.
• Compiling fiscal year end processes including external audit and financial statements.
• In conjunction with the Finance Manager, preparation of budgets and treasury forecast for each Retail Company.
• Assisting other team members to ensure all work has been completed within the timescales.
• Assisting to ensure the Retail system is fully up to date for all stores, within your area, thereby ensuring accurate stock figures and sales.
• Liaising with other Group companies and Head office on any ad-hoc requirements that they have.
• Develop and maintain a highly productive motivated team by encouragement and promotion of open communications.
• Assisting in preparing various fiscal requirements such as VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and Financial Statements

We are looking for a Management Accountant who has the following skills and experiences:

• AAT qualified. Commenced CIMA / ACCA qualification or qualified by experience.
• Previous accounting experience is required, including preparation of management accounts.
• Be an effective communicator, able to work within both a team structure and as an individual coordinator.
• Good IT skills as you will be working on various software, proficient in Excel and knowledge of SAP is advantageous
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach, required to provide service levels to the Luxury market.
