An outstanding opportunity to join us, this is a trading floor-based Market Risk Manager role in the Global Market Risk Management team responsible for independent risk oversight of the Counterparty Portfolio Management ("CPM") desk (previously named XVA Management) in the Investment Bank. The role will focus on Market Risk of XVA, Macro Hedging and Capital Optimization strategies, Review and Transparency of CVA Capital Usage along with preparation for FRTB CVA introduction. Additional focus will be on Counterparty Market Risk and Agreement Risk. The role will be based in London or New York, located next to the CPM Trading desk.
The CPM team is responsible for the management of counterparty risk within the Investment Bank. In partnership with the business lines, CPM prices and risk manages portfolio level risks arising from non-standard ISDA and CSA terms with counterparties. This includes hedging counterparty credit risks (CVA/DVA), funding risks (FVA), and collateral discounting risks (CAV). The team will also continue to manage centralized capital optimization efforts on behalf of the Group.Your future colleagues
You will be joining a growing team responsible for the Market Risk and CVA Capital Management of a well-established and high-profile multi-asset business line with a broad and expanding mandate to include management IB counterparty risk.
With a close relationship to the trading desk and other key-teams in the bank, there are numerous opportunities to gain exposure to and improve understanding of a wide range of products, trading strategies, risks and methodologies.

Your skills and experience
The following required skills and experience for this role include but are not limited to:
- An undergraduate degree in a quantitative or financial discipline, ideally with a postgraduate or professional qualification
- Proven risk experience working as part of, or alongside, a Trading, Market Risk or Quantitative function
- A thorough understanding of complex derivative product risk, models and markets in at least two asset classes
- Proven ability to manage work effectively under pressure. Be able to multi-task accurately under tight time constraints in a high-pressure environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skill-set.
