An international Banking institution wish to recruit a credit manager to work in partnership with the Relationship Managers to assess the financing needs of a corporate and enhance the marketing activities of the Front Office to proactively win financing mandates

Main Duties

Support the Coverage teams with credit risk and financial analysis for existing and prospect clients to support marketing activities by anticipating the financing needs of clients, by undertaking fundamentals based analysis, working in partnership with the Relationship Manager to produce presentations.

As part of the 'First Line of Defense', working with the RM, the credit manager will prepare and coordinate transaction proposal credit papers, to minimise the Bank's credit-related losses by identifying/reasonably measuring credit risks and mitigants in proposals, reviews etc. Act as key liaison between the Coverage team's and CRD to ensure fluid communication between all parties to maximise the chance of positive transaction vetting.

Managing the risk of the Corporate Banking Department portfolio with other team members so as to make recommendations to Credit Risk Department, Credit Committee & HO, in accordance with the Bank's credit policy (local and head office) with respect to particular business transactions

Assist the Coverage teams & management in monitoring, identifying and reasonably measuring credit risk in the Bank's asset portfolio so as to comply with prevailing credit risk appetite and booking policies.

Experience Required

High level competence across corporate/leverage clients/transactions risk analysis, and underlying knowledge of the industry fundamentals and trends, with greater emphasis on the Large Corporate sector(s). Preference for minimum + 3 years experience

Strong knowledge of, accounting principles and corporate finance techniques: optimal capital structure analysis, cash flow analysis, acquisition/divestiture analysis, liquidity analysis, ratings analysis, comparative analysis.

Corporate Finance experience would be beneficial in addition to credit analysis experience, either in acquisition, or corporate finance advisory.
