Portfolio Manager in UK Social Housing
Will have co-responsibility for all fund management aspects for a recently raised open-ended UK Housing fund, managed by a leading REIM
This fund invests in housing solutions for the c. 4.5 million UK households that are unable to access home ownership
The ideal candidate will have a background ion social housing (from buyside or advisory) a mature attitude, a broad skillset and c. 5-10 years' relevant experience
Strong affordable or social housing sector knowledge is an ideal qualification, candidates with excellent experience of the other living sectors eg PBSA, senior living, PRS/BTR/multi family will also be considered if interested in the social housing space
Participate in all day-to-day management tasks and also take a more strategic long-term approach
For candidates with deep knowledge of the Uk social housing sector, previous fund management experience is a lesser priority; the existing fund team will support the individual while they gain experience in the full range of fund management activities.
This person will be the primary specialist social/affordable housing within the business, and likeky to get involved in the launch of other vehicles over time
Following a successful capital raise, the fund has a pipeline of committed capital and dry powder for further deals. It's open-ended and will target c. 500m equity over the medium term
Candidate will need to be Excel literate to understand acquisition, portfolio analysis and debt modelling, but will be supported by an analyst who will assist with modelling etc.
Some degree of flexible working will be supported in this role
Must speak fluent English and be entitled to live and work in the UK
Competitive base in range of 90-100k, discretionary bonus.
