My client are a prestigious government organisation with offices in Newport, South Wales and Fareham, Hampshire.
They are seeking a Systems Data Configurator on an initial 6 month contract basis, full time (37 hours per week - flexi time), and the role can be done predominantly remotely (hybrid working is the long term aim).
The division drives the development and maintenance of Economic Statistics, using their expertise in data, methods and systems and plays a key part in improving the statistical outputs of the different sectors of the economy.
Builds components of existing and new systems in accordance with architectural standards and the development framework
Undertakes systems configuration and unit testing of systems within Economic Statistics
Supports Business Areas in undertaking fault analysis and resolution
Understands Economic Statistics concepts and methods relating to systems under development
Works collaboratively with experts to translate customer requirements into functional specifications
Applies project management principles to work packages within system development projects
Manages and develops staffEssential:
Experience of working with production or analysis platforms
Experience of using software applications for analysis and reporting
Evidence of applying problem solving skills to deliver robust solutions
Good written and verbal communication with experience of communicating technical elements to non-technical staff
Ability to successfully establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
