Finance Manager - Slough - £55,000

Wade Macdonald are delighted to be supporting the search for a Finance Manager to join a small but growing SME based in Slough.

The Finance team is somewhat small, and this role will produce financial reports directly to the board. The main role of this Finance Manager is to ensure correct and accurate recording of transaction information.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Accurate recording & presentation of financial information
  • Day to day maintenance of cash flow information ensuring good liquidity for business needs
  • Supporting the sales and marketing teams with billing and sales order processing
  • Recording of Payroll processing and Agency billing, ensuring accuracy of costing and timing of payment
  • Internal audit procedures and financial process controls
  • Supervision of Accounts Assistant workload and training
  • Processing UK Payroll, including payments, HMRC records, other government bodies e.g. CMA and Pension administration
  • Overseeing Daily bank reconciliation and providing escalation for Credit Control
  • Corporate VISA card analysis
  • Expense sheets checking & processing
  • Reviewing and controlling Sales and TMC commissions within the scheme rules, liaising with Client Delivery management
  • Maintaining deferred revenue detail alongside Campaign Delivery
  • Sales and Cost analysis
  • Produce management accounts monthly for review
  • Preparation on annual accounts close
  • Prepare the Finance Statement - monthly and annual, End of the Year reports
  • Management Accounting & Reporting - preparation of budgets and the comparison of actual v budget, cash flow reporting and external filing requirements

The successful candidate will have:
  • Previous management experience in a Finance Function
  • Accountancy qualification beneficial, Qualified By Experience (QBE) will also be considered
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills including v-lookups, if-statements and pivot tables. Macros desirable but not essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Good attention to details
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholder requirements
