We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the Group Finance team in Nottingham for a period of 3 - 6 months on a temporary basis. The role involves supporting the finance team in integrating and migrating newly acquired businesses, whilst also working on process improvement for the business as usual core systems and processes. This role is paying £13.00ph - £15.00ph
You will be based in our Nottingham Head Office where we apply a hybrid working approach with typically three days onsite and two days working remotely.

You will report into the Head of Financial Reporting with the following key responsibilities:
- Supporting the integration of subsidiaries onto core finance systems and processes;
- Identifying potential improvements to core accounting systems and month end process;
- Preparing month end accounting entries and reviewing accounting entries prepared by the team;
- Month end balance sheet reconciliations;
- Production of monthly management accounts;
- Investigating variances against budget and monitoring identified trends.

We are looking for a candidate with the following key attributes:
- Qualified accountant (either ACA/ACCA) and/or post qualification experience;
- Experience of dealing with a variety of finance systems and collating data across numerous ledgers;
- Experience preparing financial data under both UKGAAP and IFRS reporting standards;
- Experience of finance projects and systems improvements;
- Strong partnering and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with finance and non-finance colleagues effectively;
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting capabilities;
