Flourish Education is currently working with a 2 form entry Primary School based in Kingstanding. They are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in Year 5/6. It is required to have previous Key Stage 2 experience and KS2 Interventions experience.

This Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant role would be suitable for an experienced Level 3 qualified or above TA or fully qualified teacher. This role will require you to carry out interventions, tracking progress and you must have good subject knowledge.

To apply to this Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant role you will need

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
• Experience in working with KS2
• Enthusiastic and supportive approach
• Good behaviour management
• Good KS2 curriculum knowledge

Responsibilities

• Support children across the curriculum with a particular focus on maths, reading and writing in small groups
• Motivate and encourage pupils
• Assist with marking and correcting work
• Attend regular staff meetings
• Carry out small groups and 1:1 interventions
