- My client is searching for a Real Estate Commercial Finance Manager to be based in London
- You will be responsible for the administrative and financial management of development projects across the UK, working in collaboration with the Development Manager and Project Manager
Client Details
- My client is a privately owned real estate development and investment company
- They are proud to have completed over 400 development projects totalling across the world including the USA
- They expanded their industrial development operations into Europe and now have offices in London, Paris, Madrid and in Luxembourg, to list a few.
Description
- You will be the interface between their accounting and tax firm, and all our third-party providers involved in each phase of the development (from pre-construction, construction, until practical completion)
- In conjunction with the local Deal Makers, Development Managers and Construction Managers, you operate all the contract-to-invoice, invoice-to-book and book-to-report processes and control procedures to build-up an accurate controlling from budget and contracts, to cash management, invoices and payments
- You will update development budget over the life of the development
- You will follow the execution of the different payments and are responsible over the payment deadlines
- You will participate to the preparation of the drawdown notices on each financing
- You will drive the continuous improvement of their financial processes through digitalization, automation, and scalability
- You will have responsibility for the measurement of the profitability on each project
- You will provide necessary support to prepare and send monthly drawdown/utilization request to Lender.
Profile
- Experience of forecasting and variance analysis
- Good accounting experience in producing management accounts and reporting
- A good understanding of all the different financing and capital structures either credit facilities or equity, plus all the drawdown utilization requests across the development project
- A good understanding of their business model in terms of KPI that they look at: NOI, Cap rate for real estate investments, tenancy vacancy, recharges, property management / development fees
- A good understanding of cash management/cash pooling management
