The Ideal Candidate
The role is a fantastic all-round role where you can make the role your own. It would suit quite a wide range of candidates from a Management Account or Financial Accountant taking a Step up or a Finance Business Partner wanting to have more of an all round role. Or maybe someone looking for a move from Practice
- Manage the team of two to deliver high quality,management accounts in time with reporting deadlines.
- Work with cost centre leads to produce robust monthly forecasts and annual budgets, acting as an advisor whilst also providing a robust challenge to ensure they provide accurate and realistic projections.
- Track variances to latest forecasts and present findings in a clear and concise way to the Group Finance Controller and Group Finance Director.
- Oversee and review monthly balance sheet reviews ensuring balance sheet certainty at all times.
- Identify areas of inefficiency in current processes, provide suggestions and work with the wider finance team to implement 'best in class' processes.
- Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, including executive board members.
- Work with cost centre leads to deliver analysis and insight on areas of potential spend, providing options and scenarios for business decisions.
- Provide high quality training and supervision for the support services accounting team.
- Liaise with external advisors to manage the external audit and UK tax returns for support services.
- Work with internal compliance teams to ensure SOX control framework compliance is fully demonstrated at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Business partnering experience would be highly desirable
- Experience dealing with Senior Stakeholders in a Business
- Strong Communication skills are a must
- Ideally have worked for a Large business with multiple senior stakeholders
