An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Manager of Data Protection & Privacy to join a fantastic global company. In this role you will manage the data protection & privacy aspect of our overarching security program to keep up with threat landscape and partnering across Legal, IT, partners, vendors, and clients to ensure the highest standards are applied and enforced

Key Responsibilities for a Manager, Data Protection & Privacy:
  • Work with global teams to deliver the company's privacy and protection programs through assessment, remediation, standardization, application of technology, automation, process re-engineering and implementation capabilities
  • Assist efforts to ensure privacy an important part of the enterprise value chain by constantly examining data privacy risks and enhancing our competitive advantage in the marketplace
  • Utilize information security policies, procedures, and practices to support the application of published industry standards
  • Help with activities that need to be managed systematically across company to provide a complete view of Privacy Data Risk.
  • Retain scorecards to articulate and manage the required compliance of all privacy related data
  • Work in partnership directly with the business data owners to establish their loyalty to data privacy requirements
  • Complete assessments of proposed data sharing arrangements and evaluation of associated risks
  • Steer the organization well and partner with Legal, IT, Finance, LOBs, and other functional partners to identify key dependencies and deliver results
  • Establish compliance with published governance standards through internal audit and independent third-party verification
  • Employ procedures and automated processes to monitor the status of cloud environments and bespoke platforms
  • Oversee issues and management decisions to timely resolution

Key Requirements:
  • Understanding of IT processes and frameworks (e.g., SDLC, ITIL, COBIT).
  • Data Governance, Privacy, or Information Security certifications such as CIPP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CFE
  • Experience with control frameworks and regulatory/compliance requirements such as ISO 27001/27018, SAS70, HIPAA, FISMA, GDPR, etc.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in leadership role in cybersecurity, data management, and secure coding methodologies
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge of privacy and data protection trends and supporting technologies impacting Fortune 500 companies
  • Clear understanding of the practical application of global privacy and data protection regulations, such as EU's GDPR and US laws such as CCPA, CPRA, CDPA, CPA, HIPAA, GLBA.
  • 3+ years of related experience in risk management, compliance, privacy or security field or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or related field
  • Proven understanding of the complexity of developing and delivering effective operational solutions to complex business challenges
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with peers and drive groups to collaborative
  • Demonstrated ability to examine complex problems, think creatively
  • Commitment to travel
