About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join the financial control team at Alliance Healthcare as a Financial Accountant reporting to the SOX Programme Manager. The main purpose of this role is to deliver the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and continually improve the control environment of our businesses. This role is pivotal to the financial control environment within the UK Wholesale Division of AmerisourceBergen. There are several key responsibilities of the role:
You will be the main point of contact in finance to deliver the SOX testing programme. Taking full ownership of the SOX testing and liaising with Divisional and Group contacts to ensure a timely completion of the work.
You will perform a review of the key business processes to ensure the alignment of controls across our businesses. Additionally, you will improve the control documentation and recommend improvements where necessary.
You will produce the insurance self-assessment questionnaires and support the internal audit relationship as well as ISAE 3402 audit.
You will assist with the production of the UK Wholesale risk register and improve risk awareness and monitoring across the business.You will also support the month end process through journal reviews and continuously monitor the health of the balance sheet through monthly review.
You must establishing effective business relationships both locally within finance and IT and with group/divisional control teams.
We would value candidates with the following:
- An audit background is a key requirement
- Strong commercial awareness is required
- It is desirable to have an understanding of control walkthroughs
- You must be an ACA qualified accountant
- You must have a 2.1 degree
- You must have a proven ability to deliver high quality output to tight deadlines
- You should have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You should also have excellent planning and organisation skills
