Data Analyst
Location - London
Salary - £154.88-£182.88 Per day
Duration -Ongoing
Benefits: Holiday - 25 days per annum plus bank holidays, Access to staff sales discount, Reward Plus discount shopping and a Government pension auto-enrolment from 12 weeks
Summary of a Data Analyst
In this role, you will work alongside the clients Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to ensure that the drivers of performance are well understood, and assist in providing business partners with actionable insights!
Responsibilities of a Data Analyst
• Assisting with the development of data and visualisation requirements in support of finance performance and metrics, and monthly/quarterly business reviews
• Gather requirements, conceptualise and assist in developing BI reports and dashboards that drive business performance
• Analyse data to solve complex problems and evaluate scenarios to make predictions on future outcomes and support decision making
• Contribute to the simplification, improvement and scaling of existing processes and tools. Consider and develop alternative and innovative data solutions, transforming data into insights that drive value
• Work alongside the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst and finance teams to ensure efficient month end reconciliation and billing
• Support the wider team in engaging the BI platform(s); providing education, guidance and product optimisation to drive toward it becoming a truly self-serve tool for the organisation
• Perform deep-dives to derive actionable insights
• Work with large data sets to enable better decision making
Key competencies of a Data Analyst
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in STEM, Business, Finance or related field
• Attention to detail, ability to multitask and strong organisational skills required
• Must be task driven & have the ability to produce and hit key deliverable deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills are required, including a good understanding of formulas, macros, pivot tables
• Intermediate level experience working with Python
• Solid experience in SQL and Data visualisation (DOMO, Tableau, Power BI or similar)
• Understanding of database design and management
• Experience working with finance data or in a finance team - a plus
• Experience working with Salesforce - a plus
• Experience working with Operative.One - a plus
• Experience working with SAP - a plus
• Experience working with statistical analysis/tools - a plus
• Familiarity with media, TV measurement - a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
