Interim Communications Manager

Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a Midlands based housing organisation, with their recruitment of an Interim Communications Manager.

This role has management responsibility for 5 team members.

* To deliver the internal and external communications and engagement strategies.

* To be responsible for projection and protection of the organisation's brand externally with the public, partner organisations and the media and internally with all staff and Members.

* To advise the organisation's political and managerial leadership on reputation management and support development of strategic messages/ communications.

* Act as the main advisor on all aspects of communications. To be responsible for all corporate communications via traditional (e.g. Resident's magazine) and digital (e.g. social media) channels, including responses to emergency planning and business continuity.

* To oversee the creation, management, and governance of digital communications, and the user experience of digital services and how the brand is represented on the website and in digital services

* Delivering the communications and engagement strategy and service plan for the unit including the corporate communications and engagement strategy, its ongoing assessment and review in particular

* Promoting the organisation's activities and services by delivering effective multi-media promotional campaigns to approved strategies which ensure linkage to Corporate Aims and Objectives

* Management of media and partner relations in line with the Corporate Communications and engagement Strategy to maximise positive news opportunities and publicise organisational and partnership activities

* Develop two-way communications with residents, parishes, organisations and other stakeholders using the full marketing and PR mix, including e-communications, publications, events, exhibitions and press activity

* Lead and coordinate communications responses to emergency planning and business continuity incidents including liaison with key partners

* Delivering an ongoing programme of internal communications - creative use of effective methods to engage with the workforce to communicate on-going organisational change etc
