One of London's most progressive Borough's currently has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Team Leader to join and sit in between their area teams.
As a part of this opportunity you will play a key role managing and mentoring 4/5 junior members of staff that will include allocating cases, signing off reports and monitoring performance.
In addition, you will also manage a small caseload of your own major applications in conjunction with assisting with the implementation of service improvement initiatives when required.
Key Responsibilities;
· Manage and mentor 4/5 junior members of staff
· Allocation caseload of minor, complex medium and major applications
· Assist with the implementation of service improvements when required
· Provide technical advice to junior members of staff and unblock any complex planning issues
· Present cases at committee
· Draft detailed committee reports
· Sign off reports
· Monitor performance
You will be required to sign off work from the staff you are mentoring so experience of signing off work is critical.
