Venn Group is working with a School who are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to help cover a gap and assist with all aspects of the daily duties of the Finance Team. Below is a brief synopsis on the role;

Location: South Hampshire

Duration: 3 months Hourly rate: £15.00 - £23.00 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 30 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 08:30 - 15:00

Day to day duties include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries relating to the finance department
• Ensure orders are processed and delivered within timescales specified
• Administering the petty cash account ensuring all claims comply with relevant audit guidelines
• Distributing cash to claimants within one week of the claim being made and ensuring signatures are received for all cash handed out
• Produce trip balance reports and send to trip leaders on a weekly basis
• Reconciling the cash tin on a monthly basis
• Assisting with the input of monthly journal transfers
• Reconciling supplier statements within the financial systems on a regular basis

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience working as a Finance Officer (or similar), ideally within a school or public sector company
• Relevant Accounting qualification or significant experience
• An approachable and friendly attitude with a good team work ethic
