Insurance Accounts Manager
Barker Munro Recruitment is working with this independent Broker based in West Kent who are currently looking to add an Insurance Account Manager to it's growing team.
The business is expanding and currently need an Accounts Manager to report directly the MD and to manage the day to day running of the accounts department and to maximise business profitability through cost saving, efficient and effective means of working and methods of improving retention and margins.
You will be tasked with a number of responsibilities which will include, but are not limited to, monitoring bad debt with clients and company debt, control insurer payments to ensure the correct commission rates are being applied and to ensure things are working in a compliant manner and the agencies are live.
You will also be asked to regularly review the agency database and remove any agencies that are no longer required and to consolidate with preferred partners.
Another element of the Accounts Manager is to prepare payroll including staff incentives and also to look at other ad hoc tasks such as competitor comparisons, TOB and other initiatives.
Of course, it goes without saying that you will be able to manage the office and client bank accounts with monthly reconciliations and correspond with the company accountant to prepare the P&L accounts and Balance sheets alongside preparing the Year End.
To be considered for the role, you will have to demonstrate a working knowledge of being involved in accounts functions WITHIN the insurance sector.
