Are you looking for greater autonomy in your role and the opportunity to really add value within a growing business?
Perhaps you feel your skills are being under-utilised? Maybe there's simply limited opportunity to really make a difference?
You'll be working for an established general insurance provider that's embarking on a period of sustained growth, meaning there will be plenty of opportunity for you to add value in this newly created position. You'll be given the autonomy to shape the role and build a small, high-performance team to support you and the wider business.
You'll be able to work from home for the bulk of your time, with the occasional visit to the Manchester Head Office (centrally based within easy access of public transport) as and when required.
You'll be using your skills and experience in Risk Management within the General Insurance arena to assist with the development and maintenance of the company's Risk Management framework. You'll assist with the firm's ORSA process whilst also monitoring and reporting on its risk profile against its risk appetite.
In addition, you'll review the appropriateness of the stress and scenario testing framework and deputise for the CRO when required.
You'll also provide direct support, guidance and advice across the entire business regarding the practical interpretation, application and mitigation of risk.
You'll be an experienced Risk practitioner with strong Insurance experience (with an insurer or intermediary) who possesses superior communication and interpersonal skills. Any previous managerial experience would be of interest, but this would also be an ideal first managerial opportunity.
