And we are creating a more dementia-friendly society so people with the condition can live without fear and prejudice.About the roleWe have a brilliant new opportunity for a passionate Fundraising Officer to join our Fundraising division at the Alzheimer's Society. This role will require the post holder to play a key role in the delivery of the Memory Walk & Glow programmes. In this role you will: - Plan, organise and manage Memory Walk & Glow events. - Provide the best possible event experience, to increase sign-ups and income, to ultimately support more people affected by dementia. - Work across our Memory Walk & Glow projects, taking the lead on areas such as stewardship, volunteering and event-delivery. - Be part of our fantastic Bespoke Events team, which sits within our events team as part of the fundraising directorate.About youWe are looking for someone with a background in event management, and experience or transferrable skills working across fundraising campaigns or communications. You will; - Be comfortable planning and delivering events in an outdoor environment. You may already be in an event coordinator or event manager role. - Understand how to produce, and put into action, event management plans, risk assessments and emergency response plans. - Be enthusiastic, creative, highly organised and a good negotiator. - Have experience working across a variety of projects and be able to prioritise your workload effectively. - Enjoy building strong relationships both within and external to your organisation, and have excellent communication skills. - Have skills which are applicable to recruiting and managing volunteers within an events environment. - Be flexible to work weekends in Autumn and Spring to deliver the event series alongside the team.Our employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives.
