Through our diversity and inclusion strategy, we have made a commitment to increase the diversity of our charity and we welcome candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. We want our employees, volunteers and trustees to represent the broad diversity of the communities of which we are a part.

Within the Involvement, Influencing and Support Directorate, our policy, public affairs and campaigning work is focused on creating lasting change. We influence decision-makers across the UK by developing evidence and through stakeholder engagement, public affairs activity and by campaigning alongside people with arthritis.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to manage the charity's public affairs activities, including developing influencing strategies and stakeholder engagement plans. The successful candidate will also oversee a programme of events to raise the charity's profile in Westminster and beyond. There is also the opportunity for line management within the team.

We'll give you autonomy, variety and challenge with opportunities to lead projects and to work with inspirational campaigners and meet senior Government and NHS stakeholders. We're a supportive team who will value your well-being and professional development.

If you have:

good experience of working within a public affairs environment in health and social care
excellent experience and demonstrable ability of developing successful influencing strategies
strong experience of building good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
good experience of organising events and project management
ability to think creatively and communicate effectively, together with
an enthusiastic, adaptive and flexible approach

... then we'd love to hear from you.

We advise candidates to apply early as we reserve the right to close applications ahead of the advertised date.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
