Qualified Accountant ACA / CIMA / ACCA - Leeds - remote
We are currently working with on a really exciting project with a consulting firm who are looking for experienced ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified accounts to join them on remote contract position.
This is a major project for the client and is an exceptional chance for candidates to open up doors and pave the way for their careers given the size of the consultancy and their workload. They are growing exponentially and have a wealth of benefits.
As a Qualified Accountant - Responsibilities:
Influence decision making through effective communication of financial accounting treatment implications to non-finance stakeholders
Manage the timely and accurate attribution of expenditure and income against appropriate business groupings. Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with financial accounting principles and concepts.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure proper and effective financial accounting through the reporting mechanisms.
Ensure proper maintenance of chart of accounts
Conduct review of general ledger accounts, also ensuring accounting boundaries are maintained and adhered to
Implement and ensure suitable evidence is maintained to meet external audit standards
Identify potential issues associated with unusual or complex contracting proposals, advise on appropriate accounting treatment and ensure it is implemented to give effect to the accounting treatment
Provide tax and financial accounting advice to provide options for decision makers in resolving complex affordability challenges
Support evaluations of investment and spending options objectively by reviewing business cases and assuring affordability and accounting treatment
Manage the external audit process including the preparation and review of audit samples liaising with external auditors and business units to ensure satisfactory sign off of audit samples; Conduct continuous improvement highlighting and communicating lessons learned.
