An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven Finance Assistant. You will work closely with the team to offer support and to ensure company deadlines are met. The company are looking for a candidate that is able to prioritise their workload and have a keen eye for detail. You will play a key role in the success of an expanding business based in Thirsk.

Responsibilities of the successful Finance Assistant will be:
  • Generate sales invoice statements and ensure timely collection of cash
  • Input of transactions into Sage 50 accounting software
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
  • Assist with payment processing through HSBCnet online banking
  • Maintaining petty cash, balancing & posting to ledger
  • Responding to relevant telephone, email and post enquiries
  • Provide cover and support on the commercial stock system
  • Provide support as requested by Finance Director
  • Assist Finance Director with annual audit compliance

  • Experience in an Accounts office environment
  • Must have working knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software
  • Good MS Office skills with Word & Excel
  • Knowledge of accruals & prepayments (desirable)
  • Ability to generate a basic level Sage trial balance (desirable)

As the successful Finance Assistant you will be rewarded with a basic salary between £20,000 - £25,000 working Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm with an hour for lunch.
