Your new role
This is a new role to support the developing business to meet its growth targets and ambitions. The current team is operationally strong therefore, to develop the business my client is seeking a commercially strong manager to bring in business best practice, policies and procedures. Methodology to business development, establishing contracts, exploiting client relationships will be key features along with legislative compliance. In addition, there will be a financial bias to the role, supporting the pricing of larger projects and tender bids.
Reporting to the Board, the Commercial Manager will develop reporting systems and procedures to provide accurate financial and performance management information in a timely fashion, which will be crucial to the Company's commercial development and will include but not be limited to the following:
* Development of departmental and organisational key performance indicators
* Budget preparation & control
* Competition benchmarking, review & analysis
* Assisting in tender submissions
* Preparation of investment analysis for new products and services
* Various ad hoc projects
What you'll need to succeed
At least 10 years commercial experience
An analytical and enquiring mind
Determination to ensure the integrity of data at all times
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working with staff of all levels and disciplines
High degree of self-motivation and capable of working under pressure when necessary with no compromise on accuracy and with limited supervision
Willingness to develop within the role
