We have a new vacancy through for an Area Manager to work for this womenswear retailer. The Area Manager will be responsible to support stores in their area, empowering the Store Manager and working to maximise sales and profit performance.

The responsibilities and objectives of the Area Manager are:
  • To achieve and exceed sales and profit budgets in the stores and area
  • Ensure the high standards of customers services are achieved and maintained
  • Plan and regulate the financial performance of stores, identifying opportunities and remedying issues
  • Plan store strategies in line with divisional sales strategies and ensure the stores implement the agreed promotional plans
  • Take responsibility to ensure all measures are taken to reduce the operating costs stores and protect profitability
  • Ensure the company procedures for cash and stock handling are followed within stores
  • To recruit Store Management in conjunction with HR
  • Take responsibility for the effective induction and ongoing training of Store Management
  • Monitor the ongoing performance or Stock Managers
  • Ensure Store Managers induct and train their store teams in line with company procedures

Flexibility is required since the Area Managers working hours will be determined by the requirements of the business. The company have two vacancies, one to be based in the South West and one to be based in the South East.
