Liverpool City Council is looking for a payroll clerk to cover sickness absence, currently three months, but this may be extended.
The role will be of a hybrid nature, however, it will be expected that at least one day per week will be worked from the office, which is currently the Cunard Building, Water Street, Liverpool.
Working payroll experience, covering ALL 'Hire to Retire' aspects of a school's payroll within the last two years
Knowledge and practiced experience of Teachers terms and conditions of employment
Knowledge and practiced experience of Local Government Terms and conditions of employment
Knowledge and practiced experience of the Teachers Pension Scheme regulations and MDC requirements
Knowledge and practiced experience of the Local Government Pension scheme regulations • Previous employment within local government, a school or academy setting
Working and practiced experience in the use of Oracle ERP software
Can work on their own initiative to meet strict deadlines and to interpret data • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to create, manipulate and perform advanced excel functions and use other Microsoft office software products
