The PBPSC team builds and maintains regulatory expertise and uses it to influence safe and compliant product selection and development. Our team implements controls to protect our customers and the earth throughout the life of the product through audits, investigations, and program reviews.
We're looking for a Product Environmental Compliance Manager to focus on environmental compliance policy and strategy while leading cross-functional business and development teams. The PSC Manager will develop compliance initiatives by developing high level processes and innovative scalable solutions, while maintaining high standards for worldwide compliance.
Key job responsibilities
•Identify, scope, communicate upcoming global environmental regulatory requirements and define impact to private brand products
•Build environmental compliance policy frameworks for a variety across private brands product types and geographies
•Manage and resolve competing perspectives of stakeholders to drive conformity
•Provide guidance to business and legal teams on product environmental compliance complexities
•Develop relationships with relevant industry bodies to obtain insights and help shape the environmental regulatory landscape
About the team
The Private Brands Product Safety and Compliance team protects customers and Amazon brands through the development, and lifecycle management, of safe and compliant products.
• 5 + years of experience with product environmental compliance regulations.
• Previous experience with regulatory requirements such as: Green Deal, Sustainable Products Initiative, Climate Bill, Circular Economy, Eco-design etc.
• Proficiency with implementing processes to comply with regulatory requirements
• Proven experience in project management;Ability to monitor and measure results with analytical thinking and program management mindset;
•Experience creating sustainable and scalable processes. Experience working in a multinational company within an international team
•7+ years' experience managing Environmental Compliance in a large scale retail or manufacturing environment or Regulatory Intelligence
•Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree
•Direct experience engaging with regulatory authorities, associations, or standards bodies
•Knowledge of regulatory requirements in multiple geographies.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
